Originally commissioned by the Kennedy Center's "Something New Series", this was music for Dana Tai Soon Burgess' dance telling of Alexander the Great's encounter with Gandhara, currently Pakistan.

Chamber orchestra, sitar, tablas, and London-based soprano Patricia Rozario.

Also includes "Journey to Taxila," a 14 minuite piece for string quintet and English Horn.
